There will be open practice this Sunday 4/22/12 from 10 A.M - 4 P.M. Practice only at this time! I will have the scoring system operating and water for the track ready to go. I will require some type of calateral for loaner transponders thanks.
All racing has been cancled until further notice. There may be a need for a potition to be signed by all racers to continue a normal schedule. We are being forced to aquire a permit or change zoning to continue racing. Any and all support would help no matter how small. Maple Acres Raceway is an offroad clay/ dirt track. We are located 7 miles west of Elburn between rt 64 and 38. We have an I-Lap lap counter system (not compatable with AMB) with house transponders for race and practice with RC Scoring Pro software . There is ample room for pit space whether you work out of your vehicle or set up an ez up, there is a possibility of high winds please take caution. The drivers stand is 26' x 3' and 3' tall. I have a clean port o potty for everyones convenience. There is a watering system to help maximize traction and reduce dust which we have very little of. The track surface is hard packed clay / dirt, and has great traction wet or dry. There is a $10 donation for the first entry and $20 2 or more. There is several 120v 20a circuits, but please bring extension cords, splitters and feel free to bring a generator if you like. Air compressors are welcome, we do not provide any air. The track is 1 mile outside of town. Maple park has 4 bars and a Casey's general store. Big Dogz bar and grill is family friendly and has tables. The Maple Park Pub has huge burgers at a good price.
